This #GIVINGTRUEDAY, Student Government and the EMU-AAUP are excited to partner together to triple the impact of all gifts to the Student Emergency Fund. Student Government is making a contribution of $20,000 and is matching all gifts for an additional $20,000 in the month of December. The EMU-AAUP is also matching all gifts up to $20,000 through the month of December. Your gift of $25 turns into $75 with this incredible partnership!
We - as Student Government and the EMU-AAUP - recognize, as fellow students and faculty, there is an ever-growing importance and need to support students and the Student Emergency Fund. We invite you to give any amount to the Student Emergency Fund this holiday season.
The Student Emergency Fund provides limited emergency financial assistance to currently enrolled EMU students who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an emergency, accident, or another critical incident that will impact their ability to fully participate in their academic career at EMU.
The fund is designated to offset a short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid. Funds are awarded as a grant, and unlike a loan, do not need to be repaid. Students must submit an application to the Office Student Affairs to be reviewed by a committee to determine eligibility.
Details and application information can be found here.
