On-campus jobs contribute to a student’s likelihood of graduating on-time with a high level of academic success and then finding a job in their field. A job as a Campus Life Student Assistant allows for the ability to combine this likelihood of success with personalized support from professional staff and the opportunity to build a network with peers.
Campus Life Student Assistants work on a wide variety of projects supporting Fraternity & Sorority Life, Orientation, Student Activities, and Marketing & Design. They make high-level contributions supporting event planning and management and when they leave our department they are equipped with in-demand job-skills and the experience to be able to show those skills off.
Our students say it best: “Working for this department not only offers opportunities for professional and personal growth, but provides support every step of the way.”
Student Assistant positions are part-time roles that allow a student to balance the multiple roles of work, school, and social development. However, many students find that even though their leadership and programmatic skills make them an excellent fit for a Campus Life Student Staff position, they require more financial support than a part-time position allows.
This scholarship provides an opportunity to reward our most competent and dedicated student employees with additional financial support beyond their paycheck.
