A prestigious and treasured EMU tradition, the Undergraduate Symposium celebrates the exceptional academic work of Eastern Michigan University undergraduate students. This annual event showcases student research and creative projects.
Hosted by the College of Arts & Sciences, the Symposium began in 1981 and was the first of its kind in the nation. Symposium participation is open to undergraduate students from all colleges and disciplines of EMU who are guided by a faculty mentor and supported by their respective department/school.
Over 300 students from all undergraduate disciplines participate in this annual spring event.
This year, our 41st annual event will be held virtually on Friday, March 26th, 2021.
While the event will look different from any other year, we are committed to providing students an outlet to showcase and advocate for themselves and their work.
As a donor, you provide students with opportunities to work with faculty on mentored research or creative projects throughout their EMU career.
Donors allow us, through the Symposium and its related awards and needs, to create a dynamic and unique learning experience through one-on-one student/faculty partnerships. We appreciate our donors whether they provide financial contributions or partner for student professional development opportunities.
